Vålerenga

Vålerenga Football is one of the biggest footballclubs in Norway. In 2014 the Foundation “Vålerenga Football Community” was established, and the clubs community programs are sorted under the foundation. The projects are divided into four main targets: Integration, work training, inclusion and health. Vålerenga Against Racism offers children, adolescents, and adults, free physical activities, because we know that sport integrates. Our Job Opportunity Program (The job chance) gives valuable job-training for people that, for various reasons, find themselves currently unemployed. The Integration Project purpose is to be preeminent in alleviating problems concerning poverty and integration. Engaactive has fokus on health and sosial inclucion. Our foundation has 4 fulltime and 2 parttime employees and we have several volunteers. We work closely with the local and national government and we have several companies and sponsors who contribute to our projects.

“Vålerenga against racism” is a project that has existed in the club since 1996, and there is a project that has been noticed both nationally and internationally. Vålerenga’s identity is largely based on the club’s clear distance from racism.
